In September, Easy Solutions first announced support for the use of the DMARC draft specification within its customer base. At the time, the company noted that customers had already seen 20% uplift in visibility into phishing attacks targeting their brands, and improved takedown times as a result. The powerful combination of fraud detection, attack takedown and DMARC Compass allows companies to quickly and cost-effectively improve email delivery across their organizations, while mitigating threats and reducing risk of fraud.
DMARC, which stands for "Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance", is a technical specification to help reduce the potential for email-based abuse by solving long-standing operational, deployment, and reporting issues related to email authentication protocols. DMARC enables email receivers to authenticate legitimate messages and exchange information with email senders about how to handle unauthenticated messages (monitor, quarantine or delete). Now, with DMARC Compass, enterprises can also leverage this intelligence to clearly understand where phishing attacks are originating from, and shut them down in a faster, more targeted manner. Additionally, organizations can increase their visibility over authorized e-mail campaigns, and ensure third-party organizations sending e-mails on their behalf are accounted for.

The DMARC industry group was founded in 2012 by leading technology, financial service, media and retail companies to fight email fraud, helping email senders and receivers work together to better secure emails, and thereby protecting users and brands from painful, costly abuse. Most recently, the IETF has created a working group for DMARC, and will be developing the final standard.
